Meet Jennifer Quartano

We were lucky to catch up with Jennifer Quartano recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jennifer , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

In my 20s, I was working as a physical therapist in a high-intensity setting, managing complex patients while leading a team of 40. Despite my professional success, my own health began to unravel. I gained weight, wasn’t sleeping, had elevated blood pressure, and dealt with a host of other symptoms. The solutions I was offered—antidepressants, sleep aids, and other medications—addressed my symptoms but not the root cause. I knew I needed a different approach, so I committed to prioritizing my health. Within eight weeks of following a lifestyle-based program, I reversed all my symptoms and felt better than ever. That experience opened my eyes to the profound impact stress and lifestyle have on overall health.

A few years later, I began working with young children with complex needs in their homes. I noticed that many of their mothers were struggling with similar health challenges—overwhelmed, stressed, and physically unwell. These challenges often made it harder for them to dedicate the energy and focus needed for their children’s therapy and development. That realization inspired my mission: to help moms and families achieve better health and outcomes together.

This journey led me to functional medicine training, where I developed a deeper understanding of how our bodies work. I’ve learned that our diet, sleep, stress, movement, and relationships all play a vital role in our overall wellness. Today, I’m passionate about helping individuals and families build thriving, healthy lives from the inside out.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I grew up in a close-knit family in a small community with access to excellent health resources—though at the time, I didn’t fully grasp their significance. We grew much of our own food, spent hours playing outdoors, maintained strong bonds with extended family, and lived with minimal exposure to technology. These early experiences shaped my desire to pursue a career in healthcare and deeply influenced the professional I am today.

My passion is to help families thrive. I believe every family needs a village, and my mission is to provide that village by connecting families with experts in child development and women’s health. My goal is to create tangible improvements in health, confidence, and well-being for both children and mothers.

At our clinic in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, we take an integrative approach to care, offering a range of services to optimize health and daily life. These include physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapy for children, functional medicine, play groups, lactation support, pelvic health services for moms, and wellness programs. Through this holistic approach, we aim to empower families to live healthier, more connected lives.

The most exciting part is tearing down silos in healthcare to bring together services to create the greatest impact for our families. In 2025, our most exciting advancement yet, we will be creating collaborative programs with personalized education to meet our clients with comprehensive programs. That means, we can reach goals quicker for our clients struggling with attention or anxiety, developmental struggles such as picky eating or developmental delays, or promoting healthy hormones for mom to make each day not just something they survive, but truly thrive in. We can’t wait to see the ripple effect this learning has on current and future generations!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

There are many factors that have contributed to my success on this journey, but if I were to group them into three key categories, they would be integrity, committed habits, and a deep understanding of the human body and mind. Together, these elements have been the foundation for bringing my vision to life.

During my training at the Mayo School of Health Sciences, I developed a passion for reading research, understanding the human body, and exploring knowledge across diverse fields of health and human behavior. This holistic perspective has given me a profound appreciation for how our bodies function best and how our surroundings influence our well-being. Over time, I’ve cultivated the ability to distill complex concepts into practical insights anyone can understand. I believe that when people truly know better, they often do better, and that has shaped how I approach both my work and personal life.

In my own life, I’ve developed daily, weekly, and monthly rhythms that align with my personal and professional goals. This consistent framework has allowed me to keep moving forward, whether by taking leaps or crawling through challenging experiences, always progressing. Importantly, I integrate personal habits alongside professional aspirations. By honoring my body and practicing the self-care principles I share with clients, I’ve been able to maintain the physical and mental health necessary to sustain growth and momentum.

Finally, integrity has been a cornerstone as I’ve expanded my practice and built my team. For me, it means showing up, keeping my word, and honoring the trust placed in me by clients, colleagues, and the healthcare community. This commitment creates a safe, trusting environment where genuine growth is possible for everyone involved. A foundation of integrity fosters not only progress but also a culture of mutual respect and shared success.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

Extensive research shows that building strong connections and fostering stress resilience are fundamental to achieving virtually any life goal. That’s why we focus on supporting high-achieving women who aspire to create better lives for their families and recognize that true health goes far beyond just relying on a pill for every ailment. Our ideal clients are those who feel confused and overwhelmed by the abundance of health information available and are looking for trusted experts to simplify it. We provide clear, actionable steps they can implement today to create a healthier future for themselves and the generations to come. In addition, going against the grain in a society that tells you overworked, overweight, exhausted, and disconnected is normal. We formulate a community of like-minded women looking to achieve the same upstream approach to life that can be overwhelming to do alone and seek women who understand the importance of a village too.
